Ordering, Delivery, Payment and Refund Policies

Our Service to You

Absolutely Organic has a complete range of Organic Boxes from which you can order. We vary the selection of produce in the Boxes each week to give you great variety throughout the year and we select produce that is Local and Seasonal in preference to imported produce.

In addition, there is a wide range of Organic Portions and other Organic Products from which you can choose. Visit the Organic Shop for details.

Ordering from Us

To order from us, simply select the items for your order from the Organic Shop and follow the directions to Checkout. If you are a new customer, you will need to create an account during the checkout process. If you have any difficulties you can email us at info@absolutelyorganic.ie, or phone us at (0)1 460 0467. We will take your contact and payment details and instructions for delivery.

If you create an account online you will be asked to create a password. If you set up an account by phone, we will send you a website password which you can change once you have logged into your online account for the first time. Once your account has been created, you can order from us whenever you like on this website, by phone or by email. If you are ordering from the website, you simply need to log in using your account login and password (if you don't know this, please contact us and we will give it to you right away).

Make sure you decide which Delivery Service you require – Box Based Service or One-Off Delivery Service.

Every product in the Organic Shop will indicate whether that product is available to the ‘Delivery Route only’ or else ‘Nationwide’.

To find out more about a particular product on the website, go to Organic Shop, and click the product picture or the product name. This will give you all the available information about the product.

Minimum Orders

The minimum order amount for customers on the Delivery Route is €20.
For Nationwide Deliveries outside the Greater Dublin area, the minimum order is €30.

Delivery Charges

There are NO Delivery charges for Delivery Route orders.
Delivery charges for the Nationwide One-Off Delivery Service are €15.00. This is subject to a maximum of 15kg per delivery.

Order Deadlines

You can place an order at any time during the week. All orders for the Delivery Route must be received by 17.00 hrs on Monday for delivery that week.

Tailor your Order (Box Based Service)

We have continued to add extra Boxes, Products and Services over the years so that you can enjoy a great deal of variety and choice in your Box and you can match your order to your needs.
Our full range of Boxes now includes eight Box selections and two Bag selections. These have been designed to suit different households, so there is almost certainly a Box that suits you.

Substitutions (Box Based Service)

Though the contents of the 'Box' are selected by us, if there are particular vegetables or fruit which you do not want in your 'Box', either on a one off or an on-going basis, just let us know and we will Substitute them. Absolutely Organic will maintain your 'Rejects' on our database, together with any 'Preferences' you may have, and we will then substitute the rejects.

Portions

You can order Organic Portions and other Products either in addition to ordering a ‘Box’ or simply create an order of individual Portions and Products.

Everything we sell can be ordered to be delivered on a regular basis - either weekly or every second week. So your order might be a ‘Four Seasons’ Box and a half dozen eggs each week, with an additional ‘Fruition’ Box and apple juice every second week.

Absolutely Organic has a policy of maintaining Portion size consistently. Here are some examples, Broccoli, Courgettes, Leeks: 500gm, Beetroot, Parsnips: 700gm. Apples, Bananas, Oranges, Pears: 650gm. This way you know that the Portion size will be consistent week in week out. Thus, the 'Four Seasons' Box weighs approximately 6kg in total and the Fruition is about 2.3kg in total.

In addition to the Boxes, you can order Portions of vegetables and fruit for that extra requirement or so you can be sure to have particular produce every week. Absolutely Organic can even make sure that you only receive the Portion when it is not already in the box that week (we call this 'box dependent').

First/Trial Delivery

If you just want to try one delivery before you take a delivery on a regular basis, like a Trial delivery, there are 2 options.

The easiest is to set up the Standing Order, see how you get on, and if the first delivery is a success, you just leave the standing order. If the delivery does not meet your needs then simply cancel the standing order via the Postponing or Canceling Your Order section below.

Alternatively, you can select the ‘once–off’ option for each of the items you order, whether it be Boxes, Portions and/or products and you will just receive one delivery.

Newssheet

As part of our Box Based Service, we provide a weekly Newssheet. This contains Information and Recipes to help you get maximum enjoyment and benefit from your delivery. To receive the Newssheet simply type in your email address in the newsletter box on the right hand side of our homepage.

Amending Your Order (Box Based Service)

You can amend your order from the website by clicking on the Amending Your Order link in the 'My Account' section. This takes you to a preformatted email which will help you to complete your amendments before sending them to us. Amendments for the Box Based Service must be received by 17.00 hrs on Monday for delivery that week.

Postponing or Canceling Your Order (Box Based Service)

You can postpone or cancel your order from the website by clicking on the Postponing or Canceling Your Order link in the 'My Account' section. This takes you to a preformatted email which will help you to complete your instructions before sending them to us. Postponements or cancellations for the Box Based Service must be received by 17.00 hrs on Monday for delivery that week.

Though we may be able to prevent delivery, based on a late instruction to postpone or cancel, the value of the order will nonetheless be payable.

Delivery

All our deliveries are free of charge in the Dublin Area.

We deliver to particular areas on particular days of the week. To check the day we deliver to you, please check the Dublin Delivery Route.

In most cases delivery times will be approximately at around the same time each week. However, due to possible changes in the driver's delivery routes, because of extra or reduced delivery numbers, and/or traffic flow issues, we cannot guarantee delivery times or offer time slots.
You can give us any special delivery directions to your delivery address for our delivery driver to follow. We can also hold special delivery instructions on our system for the event where there is no one at the normal delivery address at the time when we make the delivery, though we recommend against using neighbours addresses for reasons of goodwill.

We prefer to deliver to homes, but we can deliver to work addresses as long as the work hours are flexible and the workplace is in one of our delivery areas.

If the day we deliver to your home address area does not suit you, we may be able to deliver to your workplace if we deliver to that area.

If you are going away temporarily, for vacation or other reason, just let us know in advance and we will postpone your deliveries. We reuse all our delivery boxes and bags if they are in reasonable condition. Please leave your empties out for the driver on your delivery day.

Payment

We take payment by Mastercard or Visa credit cards or by Laser debit card.

Your details are kept on a secure system. All our webpages that involve the display or transmission of personal information (especially things such as credit /debit card details) are encrypted using industry-standard 128-bit SSL security. This SSL encryption prevents any third party from seeing any personal information that is passed between your computer and our website.

Please do not email credit/debit card details to us as email is not secure. You can alter your card details by calling us on (01) 460 0467.

You will be charged automatically for your goods. Your Receipt will show the total that will be charged to your card.

You are free to change your order whenever you wish, subject to our standard order deadline. For full information, please see our Terms and Conditions.

Complaints & Comments

We work hard to ensure that our produce is of the highest possible standard. Occasionally, a substandard item will slip through the net. If this happens please let us know and we will credit your account or replace the item free of charge the following week. We welcome your comments as we are always keen to know how we can improve our service to you. Any complaint is communicated to our relevant staff and, where appropriate, also directly to the relevant producer or supplier, so we can sort the problem out and prevent it from happening again.

We occasionally have to make replacements at the last minute. If your box doesn't match the box contents on the website or newsletter, please count the items in the box, as a replacement of equivalent value may have been made.

If your order, or one of the items on your order, has not arrived then please let us know. If we’ve made a mistake, then we’ll either credit your account or replace the box free of charge the following week. If you suspect your box was stolen please contact us. We will discuss safer delivery instructions.

If you did not receive your receipt, please give us a call and we will post or email your statement to you straight away.

If you have any complaints concerning any part of our service then please contact us by email or phone. We want you to be delighted with every aspect of our service. If there are ways that we could do better, please do let us know!
